Why We Built POBO

In 2018, I started a Facebook page called Power of Being One. Not a company. Not a pitch deck. Just a conviction I couldn't let go of.

I had spent years building businesses — advertising, events, exports — sitting across tables from large organisations, watching how institutional buying power worked. And then I'd watch the same people, smart and hardworking, walk into a developer's office alone to buy their home — and get outmanoeuvred every single time. Not because they were less intelligent. Because they were alone and the other side wasn't.

The idea stayed on a back burner until the day I explained it to a close friend on a drive back from holiday. Before I'd finished, he reached into his pocket, pulled out ₹1,000, and said he was the first founding member.

No website. No prototype. Just a problem he recognised immediately — because he'd lived it — and a solution he trusted on the spot.

That was the moment POBO stopped being an idea and became something I had to build.
